Janis Bumanis That’s because Mesmer was Austrian. Very likely you don’t understand one word Austrian (which is actually German) - so why you should understand Japanese then...? 🤪
Would it be possible for you to activate the subtitles? This way more people, not only the ones who do speak and understand japanese, would be happy to hear what it is all about! We are curious because your art is so beautiful! And we want to learn! Arrigatou!
When i visited my grandmother house i was only 10 years old i saw the house devided by this type of wood craft as i grew up in the city havent see such a beautiful art and i was amuse by that till now i really wants to learn
The visual arts are made of wood, we call the carpenter. These artists are really excellent when creating product meticulously, very beautiful, so beautiful. Thank you for sharing the useful information for everyone to ask.
It it so beautiful ! The workmanship ,talent , artistic , creativity to do this is amazing . I wish I understood what you were saying to appreciate it even more . Thank you for sharing your beautiful work
I constructed a basic Grasshopper definition exactly for this type of screen, mainly the triangular subdivision. The notching is the hardest part. Doing the extrude and the triangular mesh is easy but then going throughout the material width and cuts is quite challenging. The assembly is everything. There is a selection of modules in this tessellation. These people understand cuts, ordering and algorithmic assembly to perfection. It's extraordinary.
May I ask what is the name of this art in English characters please so that I may find more? If I could afford this (as no doubt for such skild craftmanship it is deservedly expensive) I would have my whole house like this!
i really wish there had been subtitles on this, cause you know he was giving killer tips and letting us in on a skill and work ethic needed to even accomplish something of this caliber. I'm amazed, speechless, etc. that about sums it up for real! lol!
Just watched the whole video, not understanding a word they are saying, but being mesmerised by their craftsmanship.

Was just about to comment the same thing. I am in awe
Same here dear

the only thing I managed to catch was that one of the guys was 32
Japanese handicrafts are most beautiful, elegant I've ever seen. I admire japanese skilful handwork.

Superlative mastery at it's finest hour. One can but admire. The geometry and harmony are spellbinding.

From Bangladesh, it's a best artificial job in the world. I couldn't believe my eyes...just imagine.
Such painstaking work and massive amount of patiences; absolutely beautiful work! perfection.

So beautiful. Talk about a great talent. Wow.
what precision! ...I wonder how he feels about people nowadays achieving similar results in minutes with a laser cutter...
I noticed there seems to be a step of applying glue. Is it a common practice to use glue for securing the components in this craftsmanship?
